Permissions & Installation
Alfred requires certain permissions to function seamlessly:
- app_mentions:read – Respond when mentioned in conversations.
- channels:history – Analyze messages in public channels Alfred has been added to.
- channels:join – Join channels to provide insights and updates.
- chat:write – Send messages as Alfred to keep you informed.
- files:read – View shared files to extract relevant insights.
Installation
- Go to the integrations page:
app.alfred.sh/dashboard/integrations - Click "Connect Slack" and authorize Alfred.
- Alfred App will then be added to your Slack workspace.
- Start using Alfred via private messages
Once installed, Alfred becomes your AI-powered teammate, helping your team stay aligned and productive without leaving Slack!
